The Duck & Swan Communication

Ever since i've been living this life of mine, a constant feedback from surroundings keeps on echoing in my mind a lot:
"We can see a great potential in you; you have immense potential to be even much better, more rewardful, but there is a great need at your end to channelize yourself well"

Last year i happened to attend one business communication session in my office and i really liked a discussion related to how ducks and swans differ in their day to day life!

Ducks are by nature supposed to be more structured and skilled in their action and always appear calm even if a million thoughts may be crossing their mind inside.

On the contrary, swans generally appear free and disordered avoiding any kind of protocol usage and primarily reflect a confused mindset !

Even though i myself follow a swan way of life, my compatibilty is more with people having a duck mindset. If you'r still confused about ducks and swans, here are some quizzes for you to know them better:

I scored pretty bad myself; lets see how good my blogging friends are in understanding these great birds!

I cant really comment on which bird behaves better, but eventually i guess duck takes water very much like a saint takes a clear goal for life ;void of any social complications.

It would be worthwhile to remeber Mother Teresa's quotes:

"We need to find God, and He cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence…We need silence to be able to touch souls."

The way swan produces ripples in water is very much like a child looks for inclusion in each and every small event in his vicintiy!
We all know how much joy & staisfaction a child brings in his or her parent's life!! Howsoever grown up we may be, we are always that same little child for our parents~~

Though i cant predict much, but if i analyse last 3 years of my life, i am definitely moving from swanhood to duckhood!
.
Well as long as i am able to produce ripples of happiness for others and sustain a lot many for myself, i wont mind following any of these lovely birds!!
.
.
Happy Weekend!!

since IPL fever is ON and i am upset by the fact that KKR is loosing its first match against DC..

your post raises a quetion in my mind: when a batsman gets out for a score of 0, why do they call something like "Ganguly is out on duck" and NOT "Ganguly is out on a swan"
