Quotation by Eric Hoffer

The difficult and risky task of meeting and mastering the new—whether it be the settlement of new lands or the initiation of new ways of life—is not undertaken by the vanguard of society but by its rear. It is the misfits, failures, fugitives, outcasts and their like who are among the first to grapple with the new.

Eric Hoffer (1902–1983), U.S. philosopher. The Passionate State of Mind, aphorism 51 (1955).

Hey Pooja,

A nice thot to share. But a bit complicated with words. Typical Eric Hoffer I must say. I had to read it twice to get close to what he might mean :)

Seems like ur blog has gone a reformation since last i was here. :) changes are good. always.

Cheers!
